Eligibility Criteria

Is Your Organisation Eligible?

Ugandan organisations applying to host volunteers or interns must meet the following criteria:

  • Youth-Led Leadership — Majority of leadership and management must be under 35 years of age.
  • Legal Registration — Must be legally registered in Uganda with a valid certificate.
  • Operational History — Must have been actively operating for at least one year.
  • Team Structure — Minimum of two full-time or committed team members and a defined leadership structure.
  • Defined Need — Must identify specific capacity gaps and submit a clear volunteer role description.
  • Community Reference — Must provide a reference letter from a local community leader or partner organisation.
  • Safeguarding Policy — Must have an active safeguarding policy in place, especially if working with children or vulnerable populations.
